Why cramming doesn't really work - but spaced practice does!

We've all done it - procrastinated and procrastinated until the night before the test, quiz, essay, project deadline - and then crammed to prepare! Cramming may even get us the grade we want, but studies clearly demonstrate that retention is minimal at best. Why space out your learning? Because short spaced out learning makes it stick. In a nutshell, short, frequent practice over time is a much better use of our time than all-nighters! Plus we are a lot happier when we get our sleep.

Make your learning stick with short, spaced out practice!
